Hand Exercise - Hand Warmup

These exercises, with the assistance of the "Little Professor" in the NimbleFingers touch typing - keyboarding program, will develop your touch typing speed and accuracy. You need to exercise when performing repetitive tasks such as keyboarding! That is the reason for this WEB site.

Make a fist with your right hand

Shake your right wrist

Raise the right fingers as shown

Quickly raise your fingers as shown

For example, would you jump out of bed, and immediately try to run in a foot race? That would be crazy, wouldn't it? No one would attempt to engage in major physical activity without a warm up.

Typing is a "major physical activity" (see the section on Carpal Tunnel Syndrome for more information.) You need to warm up your finger and body muscles before starting to type. Then you need to take breaks, and engage in stress reduction exercises.
